In this workshop, an examination of the relationship between gender and violence will take place. The focus is on the power to violate and the openness to violations as well as ways of dealing with experiences of violence. Using case vignettes, we discuss factors and conditions of resistance to violence in boys*. A better understanding of the factors and processes that contribute to a successful and non-violent coping with potentially violent situations in boys* enables us to use the right levers in violence prevention work.
